East Coast Bays Barracudas go down hook line and sinker…….

The East Coast Bays Barracudas 2009 league season came to a dramatic end on Saturday, with a hard fought 25-20 loss to Papakura in the first semi-final of the Fox Memorial Shield. Early defensive lapses let Papakura get out to a 25-4 first half lead, but the Barracudas fought back hard in the 2nd half and came with a converted try to steal the game off Papakura. However, a controversial referee decision occurred when East Coast Bays number 9, Tim Harbott appeared to have scored under the posts……. Only to be called back for a double movement which proved to be the deciding factor in the outcome of the game.
